Kawasaki mule front end noise. i noticed when i'm driving it after 4wd is engaged that it makes a popping sound from up front. ( old farmer). owner states there is a clicking in the front and when u put it in 4 wd it makes a loud racket. i picked up one yesterday 2007 model with just over 100 hours on it. It does not pop when turning, only when traveling in a straight line. they said its normal due to diff gear ratios front to back and gave me a service bulletin that says only to use 4x4 when necessary. the noise sounds as if the belt slips every now and then the mule surges, loud clunking / popping sound, connects immediately then normal until it pops again. I sure am not a carpet layer but it came out ok. . Sounds almost like it is trying to jump out of gear?
